“I’ve arrived in London without incident. There are few triumphs in my recent life, but I count this as one. My existence of the last three years has been nothing but incident.” –Beth Brower, Emma M. Lion
I really, really love this book series. Volume 1 introduces us to Emma M. Lion as she returns to London in 1883 amid hopes to resume her life there, despite the complication of living with her very odd and somewhat deranged Cousin Archibald. Emma is delightful and the cast of characters Beth Brower created to surround her are top notch. The dialogue is witty, clever, and laugh out loud funny. I dare you not to be charmed by Emma! Don’t wait another minute–hop on the Emma M. Lion train and prepare to meet your new favorite heroine!
