“It wasn’t luck that made them fly; it was hard work and common sense; they put their whole heart and soul and all their energy into an idea and they had the faith.”–David McCullough–The Wright Brothers
I really enjoy David McCullough’s books and this one is no exception. He brings Orville and Wilbur Wright to life as he tells the story of their upbringing, genius, tenacity, and success as they catapulted themselves into history as the fathers of flight.
McCullough’s book is well researched and fascinating. He has an easy narrative style that invites the reader into the world of the Wright brothers and their family. This is a great book for anyone who enjoys history or wants to be inspired by one of the important and far reaching feats of mankind ever.
